Coach Keith Murray
Coach Keith has worked in Fire and EMS since he was 18. He obtained his initial certification in Firefighter I in 2000 and became a Nationally licensed Paramedic in 2007. He is a nationally certified Instructor in Fire and EMS. Now as the Chief of Training & Safety, he is responsible for training the next generation of Firefighters, EMTs, and Paramedics. He and his division educate many of St Tammany Parish’s Firefighters in Live Fire Training, Hazardous Materials, Medical Continuing Education, and Technical Rescue.
He began Training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in February of 2018 with his son Keith Jr under Professor Rafael Ellwanger. Coach Keith was promoted to Purple Belt in December 2021 and enjoys training with his entire family. (Ashley -Blue Belt, Keith Jr – Yellow belt, and Kaleb – Grey belt) He began assisting with jiu jitsu classes under Professor Ellwanger in 2019 and continues to compete at multiple International Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Federation Tournaments including Pan Ams and Master Worlds. Coach Keith is proud to be one of the lead instructors with Professors Andre and Vince at Gracie United Mandeville
